I don't make it a habit of sharing my personal life on the internet, but this is a pretty big one.

A good opportunity to get a handmade guitar without the wait time.
Dramatic shots of the Katalox guitar.
Modern features :
Nice straight and heavy Katalox.
#31 Ready for takeoff.
Sounds pretty good so far. Lots of volume and easy to play. Almost done and ready to get out of the shop.
A bit of measuring, a bit of scraping back the finish a little, and then the bridge will go on to the soundboard, ready for final cleanup and setup.
Indian Rosewood is a classic for a reason. It is easy to work with, sounds and looks great. I will be starting two more guitars soon built with it, book yours now and get it in time for spring.
Once the proper thickness of finish is achieved, all that's left is to make it pretty.
Inlaying the tie-block decoration on the bridges in between sessions of french polish. Guitars number 30 and 31 slowly creeping to the finish line.
Building the bridges in a modern, efficient way. This "scoop" in the wings allows the use of lighter woods (walnut in this case) while keeping the strength up where I want it 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 .
Medullary rays are a good way to judge the cut of certain pieces of wood. The more quarter-sawn the piece of wood is, the more medullary rays are going to show up.
Nice light picture of an Indian Rosewood guitar being prepped for shipping sometime in 2020. The aloes looks pretty healthy, it has since found a new home, oh well.
